Spring '20 is inspired by the powerful feminine spirit of the Harlem Renaissance woman and the art , literature, and musical movement of the era. Jospehine Baker and Billy Holiday’s glamorous and feminine allure reigns supreme this season. We also channeled the art of artists Lois Malou Jones, Faith Ringold ,William H Johnson , and Jacob Laurence ( we looked at their art for colour contrasts and graphic placement ) . But most importantly it is the essence of the Harlem Renaissance woman that inspired this collection ..she was passionate , fearless, brave , creative and colourful a true Borgo de nor woman.
